The Session of Appreciation and Introduction for a Group of Heads of Departments at the University of Tabriz

Ceremony Honoring Former and Newly Appointed Heads of the "International Students Office", the "Research Center for Biological Sciences and Technology", and the "University Publishing, Printing, and Distribution Department" Held at the University of Tabriz

According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Tabriz, a ceremony was held with the presence of the Vice President for Research and Technology and a number of university managers and experts to appreciate and introduce the former and new heads of the “International Students Office,” the “Research Center for Biological Sciences and Technology,” and the new head of the University’s “Publishing, Printing, and Distribution Department.”

Prof. Asghar Asgari, in his remarks during the ceremony, expressed his gratitude to Dr. Arman Jalali, the former head of the International Students Office, stating:
"Dr. Jalali played a significant role in the development and consolidation of the international students sector, especially in recent years. The reason for his replacement in this position was his own request, as he wished to devote more time to his research activities. I sincerely wish him continued success in both his professional and personal life."

He also congratulated Dr. Mostafa Zarean on his appointment and added:
"Dr. Zarean is a young, thoughtful individual familiar with international and student affairs. We expect that with his presence, the International Students Office will operate with greater structure and coherence. What began with only one staff member and about 30 students has now evolved into a well-structured and fully developed unit."

Dr. Asgari further thanked Dr. Behzad Nikzad for his efforts in establishing the Research Center for Biological Sciences and Technology and noted:
"Previously, this center operated only in a basic form and lacked a formal group structure. Since 2022, it has expanded its focus on biological and medical fields, and we expect that under the leadership of Dr. Gholamreza Dehghan — a qualified expert in this area — the center will further strengthen its ties with industry and society."

He also expressed appreciation for the services of Mr. Mahmoud Adeli, the former head of the University’s Publishing, Printing, and Distribution Department, stating:
"This unit is one of the proud sections of the University of Tabriz. The works published here are of high quality and are ranked among the top at the national level, with many of them recognized among the best publications by the Ministry of Science."

In conclusion, the Vice President for Research and Technology expressed hope regarding the capabilities of Dr. Firooz Mahmoudi, the newly appointed head of the Publishing, Printing, and Distribution Department, saying:
"With his leadership, we hope to see further development in this department and an increase in the number of the university’s international scientific journals."

According to the report, Dr. Mostafa Zarean was officially appointed as the new head of the International Students Office, and appreciation was expressed for the contributions of Dr. Arman Jalali. Dr. Firooz Mahmoudi was introduced as the new head of the Publishing, Printing, and Distribution Department, succeeding Mr. Mahmoud Adeli. Additionally, Dr. Gholamreza Dehghan was appointed as the new head of the Research Center for Biological Sciences and Technology, with commendation given to Dr. Behzad Nikzad for his valuable efforts during his tenure.
